The Gospel Unveiled

Paul wrote that those reading the Old Testament are blinded by a veil and “…the veil is taken away in Christ” (II Cor. 3:14). He goes on to write “… a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away” (vs.15-16). It is the same blinding veil that made the gospel a stumbling block to the Jews and was foolishness to the Greeks (I Cor. 1:23). Likewise, he goes on to say, “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of this gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” (II Cor. 4:3-4). To those who do believe and are led by the Spirit of God I hope the articles in this Gospel Unveiled website will be edifying to you as we all grow in the grace and knowledge of God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

My name is Lee Lisman and I live in Vancouver, Washington (near Portland, Oregon). I want to share some of my articles with those of you who have God’s Holy Spirit– who hear our Shepherd’s voice. All the articles being shared with you are for your edification as you grow in the grace and knowledge of God our Father and our Lord, Jesus Christ. These articles are not “new truth” from an organization or someone with an agenda. I’m not a church and no money will ever be accepted.

My goal is to point you to Jesus Christ, that by the Holy Spirit He shall “…bring all things to your remembrance…” (John 14:26), “…guide you into all truth…” (John 16:13) as He “…teaches you concerning all things…” (I John 2:27). All of us need to turn to the Apostles’ teaching (Acts 2:42) and “…earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 3) as we make our “calling and election sure” (II Pet. 1:10-15; 2:1-2; 3:1-2, 15-18). May you find these articles spiritually uplifting.
